TOEFL stands for Test Of English as a Foreign Language. This is a test taken for any course admissions in USA and Canada. Many other countries are also using this test for admissions to various courses.

The primary purpose of TOEFL exam is to test the proficiency in English of canidates from non English speaking countries. Even canidates from English speaking countries may be asked to take this test since American English is different from English speaken in many countries including UK.

I found a link to get TOEFL exam syllabus.

As all knows that if you want to study abroad then you will have to appear for TOEFL exams because students will get admissions in USA, UK etc only on the basis of their TOEFL score. TOEFL is not the only exam which would require to study in abroad because there are number of students who have different aims in their life and for that they have to give different exams such as GRE, GMAT, IELTS. There are number of countries which used different slang for speaking english and therefore it is necessary to pass the TOEFL, IELTS exam which will tells that you are good enough to adjust in the environment where you want to go. Those who are planning to study abroad after their 12th can check the information related to Exams, Schools & universities, VISA etc via internet or can access different educational sites whose primary aim is to help students.
